Headlining Velour/Roof Liner Material

Headlining velour is a soft, knit-backed fabric that’s laminated to a thin layer of foam. It’s commonly used as the ceiling lining in vehicles, offering a neat, cushioned finish while helping with sound insulation and temperature control. Our foam-backed headliner fabrics are designed specifically for automotive use.

Yes — our foam-backed headliner velour is ideal for repairing or replacing sagging car ceilings. Over time, heat and humidity can cause the foam layer in your vehicle's headliner to deteriorate. Replacing it with fresh foam-laminated fabric and a suitable spray adhesive provides a clean, long-lasting result.

Most vehicles need between 1.5 to 3 metres of fabric, depending on the size of the roof and whether you’re also covering pillars or other interior panels. Our headliner fabric is supplied by the metre and is approximately 1500mm wide. Be sure to measure your space and allow a little extra for trimming and fitting.

Yes — with some care and the right adhesive, many DIYers successfully restore their vehicle interiors at home. We recommend removing the old board, cleaning off the deteriorated foam, and applying your new headliner using an automotive spray adhesive suitable for foam-backed fabrics.  

We stock four versatile colours to suit most car interiors: Black, Dark Grey, Mid Grey, Light Grey. These neutral tones are commonly used in both modern and classic vehicles and are perfect for achieving a clean, professional finish. 

Use a high-temperature spray adhesive that is foam-safe and suitable for automotive use. Avoid general-purpose glues or water-based products, as they may not hold up in heat. We stock headliner-approved adhesives that bond well to both foam and board surfaces.
