Which spunbond dust cover fabric should you choose?

Spunbond non-woven fabric, also called dustcover or dust cover fabric, is used to finish the underside of upholstered furniture. It helps cover internal webbing, springs and padding while giving chairs, lounges, sofas, ottomans and bed bases a clean finished underside.

For general furniture dustcover work, 50gsm black spunbond is the practical starting point. It suits chair undersides, lounge bases, sofa bases and general upholstery finishing.

• 40gsm white insert cover: for cushion inserts, pillow inserts and light covering work.
• 70gsm black dust cover: for larger furniture pieces, workshops and regular upholstery use.
• 120gsm beige template making spunbond: for pattern cutting, templates and workroom layout jobs.
• 150gsm black platform cover: for bed bases, ensemble bases and heavier furniture platform covering.
