#418 Tufting Clasps from Osborne are used with Osborne #417 Tufting Needles. Each box comes with 500 pieces and are made to last. To install, thread the tufting clasp and insert it into the “well” near the point of the tufting needle. Loosely wrap the string around the handle at the top to secure it temporarily while you insert the needle wherever desired. Once it has exited the other side of your cushion or foam, loosen the thread at the top, push in the plunger to release the clasp, and remove the needle. Buttons can now be installed and tufts can now be finalized with the clasp strongly anchored on the other side of your project.
