High quality industrial eyelets (aka grommets) used in combination with a compatible washer (sold separately) for a variety of applications. Made in Australia for the Australian climate and manufactured to meet government and commercial specifications in high quality Brass material or Stainless Steel. These self-piercing eyelets will not require a pre-punched hole with thinner nonwoven banner making type materials but will require holes to be pre cut when using thicker woven materials. Holes can be punched with a standard wad punch or other hole cutting tools. These eyelets are compatible with either a plain Flat Washer for basic reinforcement of thinner rigid textiles or a Tooth Washer for soft woven textiles for a firmer tighter grasp. Some thinner materials will pucker when the teeth of the Tooth Washer bite in to the fabric making it look less appealing around the eyelet. The Flat Washer will give a better look on the back of the material but are more suited to rigid materials and materials not under great load. These are packaged and sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

1 question about this product

Brass won’t rust outside, but it does tarnish slightly over time which should be considered for any decorative applications. For marine and external environments Stainless Steel is generally always recommended. The only thing to consider with Stainless Steel is that since it is an inherently harder metal than Brass, this can make it slightly more difficult to intall also potentially wearing out installation tools slightly faster in comparison.
