Metal Upholstery Regulator
An essential tool for traditional upholstery work, the upholstery regulator is generally used to smooth and adjust the stuffing beneath fabric layers before the final cover is applied. Although it resembles a needle, it’s heavier and available in various gauges and lengths to suit different projects.
This dual-purpose tool features a sharp pointed end for gently poking through face fabric (usually near a seam or hidden area) to reposition stuffing, foam, or wadding and eliminate lumps or gaps. The flat end is ideal for finishing corners, pleats, and for tucking fabric neatly under Shark Trim flexible metal tack strip.
A small hole at the flat end allows the regulator to be hung on a hook or tool rack, keeping it easily accessible during upholstery work.
