Heavyweight Cotton Calico (160cm wide)
A good quality heavyweight 100% cotton calico, approximately 160cm (63 inches) wide. Used to line traditional upholstery. Can be used in pre-upholstery to hold down filling prior to covering with fabric. Calico also assists in stopping fabric backing from clinging to the foam surface. It may also be used as a premium ‘dust cover’ to finish off the bottom/base of upholstered furniture. Also commonly used by fashion designers and dressmakers, for creating toiles and mock-ups of garments. Often identified by visible flecks of cotton seeds, lends it a rustic charm and also makes it an ideal canvas for dyeing, printing, and other creative craft applications. Its natural and biodegradable properties also make it an environmentally friendly option for packaging and other disposable uses.
