Frequently Asked Questions

5 questions about this product

Methylene Chloride is a heavy, highly volatile solvent classified as a suspect carcinogen. Exposure can cause immediate dizziness, nausea, confusion, and respiratory irritation. Long-term exposure poses severe chronic health risks.

Standard dust masks or basic carbon filters are completely ineffective. You legally require an AS/NZS 1716 approved respirator explicitly rated for chlorinated solvents, alongside safety goggles and chemical-resistant gloves (standard thin nitrile will degrade rapidly).

They are older, highly traditional formulations valued for their rapid tack time, non-flammable liquid properties, and incredible grab on tricky upholstery materials. However, their strict health hazards require rigid safety controls.

No. Methylene Chloride vapours are heavier than air and quickly collect at floor level or in stagnant corners. They must only be used in heavily ventilated areas or industrial spray setups with specialized extraction systems.

Because of the high toxicity, these models are strictly recommended for experienced, professional trade environments where proper safety equipment, workspace extraction, and safe chemical handling training are fully established.
