Your new cushion foam may arrive compressed for delivery. Once the packaging is removed, it will begin expanding back to its normal size and shape.
Open your foam as soon as it arrives. Allow 24–48 hours after unpacking for it to return to its full size and shape.
Why We Compress Foam for Delivery
Foam is bulky, and the space a parcel takes up affects the cost of sending it. We compress most of our foam orders to make them smaller and easier to ship, passing those freight savings on to you.
How to Unpack Your Cushion Foam
Unpack it straight away.
Carefully remove the delivery packaging, keeping scissors or blades clear of the foam.
Give it room to expand.
If you are leaving the foam outside its cushion cover, lay it flat with enough space to expand.
Fitting a cushion cover? You can do this now.
Fitting the foam while it is still slightly compressed can make it easier to handle. Position it correctly inside the cover and allow it to continue expanding there.
Allow 24–48 hours to recover.
Whether you leave the foam flat or fit it into a cushion cover, give it time to return to its normal size and shape.
